The Judgment of the Deaf and Mute on the Day of Resurrection
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fifth question of Fatwa No. ( 6167 ):
Q5: Is the deaf and mute person judged on the Day of Resurrection as a Muslim, a People of the Book, or a disbeliever?
A5 : Yes, he is judged; because he is accountable to the extent of the capacity of perception granted to him through his other senses, and the capacity of intellectual perception granted to him. There is nothing strange in this, for schools have been established in the modern era to educate the deaf and mute to advance them in education. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad , his family, and his Companions.
