The People's Need for the Messengers
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The fifth question of Fatwa No. ( 7289 ):
Q5: Does man need the messengers, given that Allah has honored him with intellect and fitrah (the innate natural disposition)? And why are the messengers human?
A5: Rather, he is in the most urgent need of them; because people’s intellects differ greatly, and they cannot independently know what pleases or angers Allah the Exalted in terms of words, deeds, and beliefs. For this reason, Allah sent His messengers, from Noah (peace be upon him) to the fact that they were concluded with our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), whom Allah sent with a comprehensive, complete, permanent, and universal religion for humanity until Allah inherits the earth and those upon it, and He is the best of inheritors. We advise you to read the Qur'an frequently and reflect upon it, especially the stories of the prophets in it and what they faced from their nations regarding the matters of the message and its objectives, as mentioned in the like of the saying of Allah the Exalted and Most High:[Al-Anbya 21:25] As for their being sent from among humans, that is because it is more perfect in establishing the proof; since they are of their kind, they can communicate with them and ask them about what concerns them, and they are able
to understand their speech; as Allah the Mighty and Majestic said:[Al-Isra 17:94-95], and He the Exalted said: [Ibrahim 14:4] the verse. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

And We sent not before you any messenger except that We revealed to him that, "There is no deity except Me, so worship Me."
وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِكَ مِنْ رَسُولٍ إِلا نُوحِي إِلَيْهِ أَنَّهُ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلا أَنَا فَاعْبُدُونِto understand their speech; as Allah the Mighty and Majestic said:
(94) And what prevented the people from believing when guidance came to them except that they said, "Has Allah sent a human messenger?" (95) Say, "If there were upon the earth angels walking securely, We would have sent down to them from the heaven an angel [as a] messenger."
And We did not send any messenger except [speaking] in the language of his people to state clearly for them
وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا مِنْ رَسُولٍ إِلا بِلِسَانِ قَوْمِهِ لِيُبَيِّنَ لَهُمْ
