Fatwa No. ( 8564 ):
Q: What is your ruling on the Shi'ah , particularly those who said: that 'Ali is in the rank of prophethood, and that our master Jibril erred by descending upon our master Muhammad?
A: The Shi'ah are many sects, and whoever among them says that 'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) is in the rank of prophethood and that Jibril (peace be upon him) erred and descended upon our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), he is a disbeliever. And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
