The seventh question of the fatwa numbered ( 5553 ):

Q7: What is your belief regarding the Tijaniyyah method and seeing the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while awake?
A7: The Tijaniyyah sect is among the most severe sects in disbelief, misguidance, and religious innovation, because they do not follow what Allah has prescribed. The Permanent Committee was previously asked about them and wrote a research paper on many of their innovations and misguidances that indicate this.

As for the claim of some Sufis that they see the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while awake, this is something that has
no basis; rather, it is false. He is only seen (peace and blessings be upon him) on the Day of Resurrection when people come out of their graves. It is authentically reported from him (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:
the first one for whom the earth is split on the Day of Resurrectionأنا أول من تنشق عنه الأرض يوم القيامة
Musnad Ahmad 15Hasan (Darussalam)
. And success is from Allah. May Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
