Machine translationRead the Arabic original

Questions four and five of Fatwa number ( 3544 ):

Q4: Is what the Sufis do of dancing, singing, and swaying to the right and left, which they call dhikr, permissible or forbidden?
A4: The best of speech is the speech of Allah, and the best of guidance is the guidance of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and the worst of matters are those that are newly invented. Allah has completed the religion for His servants in terms of speech, action, and belief. Allah the Exalted said:
This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion.
[Al-Ma'idah 5:3]
The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) clarified this religion through his words, his actions, and his approval. His Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) transmitted from him (peace and blessings be upon him) what came from him in the form of words, actions, and approval. Thus, the religion is complete in terms of its principles, its clarification, and its transmission. Dhikr is a type of worship, and acts of worship are based on divine legislation. Whoever specifies something from the acts of worship and sets a specific time or a specific manner for its performance is required to provide evidence. We do not know any legal basis to rely upon for what is mentioned in the question. It is established from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said:
'A'isha reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying: He who innovates things in our affairs for which there is no valid (reason) (commits sin) and these are to be rejected.من أحدث في أمرنا هذا ما ليس منه فهو رد
Sahih Muslim 1718a
So, what is mentioned in the question is of the type that is rejected.
