Fatwa No. ( 7140 ):
Q: What is the ruling on the Sufi orders and the adkar (remembrances) they composed and arranged before the Fajr prayer and after the Maghrib prayer, and what is the ruling on one who claims that he saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while awake and greeted him by saying: "Peace be upon you, O eye of eyes and spirit of spirits"?
A: The orders and adkar you mentioned are innovated, bid'ah (religious innovation) orders and adkar, including the Tijani and Kutbani orders. None of their adkar are prescribed (mashru') except what agrees with the Book and the authentic Sunnah. As for what was mentioned in the question about some people entering upon al-Kutbani and seeing the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) beside him while awake and saying: "Peace be upon you, O eye of eyes..." etc., this is batil (invalid) and has no basis. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is not seen after his death while awake, and he does not come out of his grave except on the Day of Resurrection, as Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) said:
(15) Then indeed, after that you are to die. (16) Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected.
ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمْ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ لَمَيِّتُونَ (15) ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ تُبْعَثُونَthe first one for whom the earth is split on the Day of Resurrection
أنا أول من تنشق عنه الأرض يوم القيامة
