The twelfth question of Fatwa No. ( 8150 ):
Q12: Guide us—may Allah guide you—to what would benefit us from Islamic books to which we may refer in creed and jurisprudence, and which are the authentic books on the Prophetic biography?
A12: You should turn to the noble Book of Allah and the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); such as the two Sahihs and the Sunan. From the books on tawhid (the oneness of Allah): [Sharh al-Tahawiyyah] and the book [Fath al-Mujid Sharh Kitab al-Tawhid]. For biography and jurisprudence, the book [Zad al-Ma'ad fi Hady Khayr al-'Ibad]. We also advise you to read the books of Shaykh al-Islam Ahmad ibn Taymiyyah and his student Ibn al-Qayyim . And success is from Allah. And may Allah send prayers upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.
