Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : The hadith that follows, which contains the story of Abu that I referred to earlier, and which we discussed in the previous lesson with a different narration.
The author (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
And from Muhammad ibn Ma'adh ibn Abu ibn Ka'b, from his father, from his grandfather, meaning: his grandfather here is Abu ibn Ka'b al-Ansari
That he said: "O Messenger of Allah, what is the reward for fever?" He said: "Good deeds are rewarded for its owner as long as his foot twitches or a vein beats upon him." Abu said: "O Allah, upon him, I ask You for a fever that does not prevent me from going out in Your path, nor from going out to Your House, nor to the mosque of Your Prophet." He said: "So Abu was never touched except that he had a fever."
It was narrated by al-Tabarani in *al-Kabir* and *al-Awsat*, and its chain is acceptable. Muhammad and his father, meaning the son of the Companion and his grandson, were mentioned by Ibn Hibban in *al-Thiqat*. The hadith of Abu Sa'id with the story of Abu was also mentioned previously.
So this Abu, when he heard the virtue and reward of fever, called upon Allah (Mighty and Majestic) that it would not cease to afflict him, but while preserving his strength and energy to perform the obedience of his Lord (Mighty and Majestic), even jihad in the path of Allah, which requires strength and energy, and one who is afflicted with fever is usually not in such a state.
The hadith that follows.

The questioner : ...

The questioner : There is a difference in the text regarding this hadith.

The Shaykh : Please proceed.

The questioner :
Or drowning. أو غرقٌ
Abu said: "O Allah, I ask You here, it seems you mentioned an addition."

The Shaykh : Yes, in the word: "upon him."

The questioner :
O Allah, upon him. اللهم عليه
.

The Shaykh :
O Allah, upon him. اللهم عليه
Meaning, based on this virtue mentioned in the hadith, I ask You.
