Explanation of the Hadith (You Will Make a Treaty with the Romans) and Did It Actually Happen?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : The point is, I asked myself: Can we imagine that a Muslim would stand up, be zealous for his religion, and kill one of these Crusaders, thereby fulfilling the prophecy mentioned in this hadith? This is the furthest thing from reality, unfortunately. Why? We have never heard, at any time, that the disbelievers celebrate one of their religions in the land of the Arabian Peninsula. Then, despite the limited opportunity I have to watch television, I saw two flags raised facing each other: one flag bearing "La ilaha illa Allah" and next to it a flag of the cross. This is in the land of Arabness, as the Arabs today call it—we do not say it, but we say it in the heart of Islam. This is a terrible and very terrible calamity. So when we see these manifestations and see this humiliation lying upon them, we never imagine that a Muslim would be zealous and then a confrontation would occur between the Crusaders and the Muslims. Why? Because, unfortunately, we never dreamed in our sleep that we would see this fitnah (trial, discord or temptation). Because when they could not confront the Iraqi aggression that attacked Kuwait, and feared that its spread would reach Saudi Arabia, they could not stand face to face at least, so they called for aid from the Christians and these disbelievers who could not stand against the Iraqi Ba'ath. Can they fight Britain and America, who occupied their lands? This is impossible unless Allah wills, and Allah is Able to do all things. The important thing is that I feel I have digressed too much, but it is a venting of what is in my chest.
The questioner : Yes, I do.
