May Allah reward you, O honorable Shaykh. If a person commits a wrong and is afflicted with an illness as a result of that wrong, is this a trial from Allah or not?

The Shaykh : Yes. It is understood. If a person commits a sin and is afflicted with an illness, then Allah expiates his sins through that illness. In fact, if a thorn pricks him, Allah expiates his sins through it. In fact, if he becomes sad and worried, Allah expiates his sins through that. This is explicitly stated in the hadith from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). This is among the blessings of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) that if a person is afflicted with an illness, it serves as expiation for his sins, or if he is afflicted with worry, it serves as expiation for his sins. Yes.
