The benefits of the hadith of 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr ibn al-'As (may Allah be pleased with them both)

The Shaykh : This is a great hadith regarding the virtue of the poor emigrants. Therefore, it is obligatory for us to remember that this virtue is not for the poor in general, but there are specific characteristics, the first of which is: that one emigrates in the cause of Allah, emigrating from his land to another land so that he can perform the rituals of his religion there. There is no doubt that if the poor are patient, they will have their reward. However, this reward explicitly mentioned in this hadith must be restricted to those whom the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) restricted it to, namely these poor emigrants who fill the gaps in the frontier and ward off evil. A person among them lives and dies with a need in his chest that he finds no way to satisfy. So Allah, Mighty and Majestic, commands the angels to go to them and enter upon them from every door, saying to them: [Ar-Ra'd 13:24].
