Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : They are saying this in response to the angels' saying to them:
What did you do?
or to Allah, Blessed and Exalted, saying to them:
What did you do? They will say: "Our Lord, You tested us and we were patient, and You granted authority and wealth to others instead of us." Allah, Glorified and Exalted, will say: "You have spoken the truth." He said: They will enter Paradise before the people, and the severity of the reckoning will remain for the people of wealth and authority.
. They asked the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him):
So they said: Where will the believers be at that time?
meaning: On the day when the people of authority and wealth remain in the severe reckoning, he said:
Thrones of light will be placed for them, and clouds will shade them.
Sahih Ibn Hibban 64:330
due to the intense heat of that day, the Day of Resurrection, as is known in the authentic hadiths.
That day will be shorter for the Muslims than an hour of the day.
This means that the standing in the gathering place on the Day of Resurrection is relative; so whoever is among the sincere believers will not think that his standing in the gathering place was anything but an hour of the day or less than that.
