A warning about changing a name if it implies servitude to other than Allah, such as 'Abd al-Nabi and the like.

The Shaykh : However, there are other etiquettes for which other hadiths have come, and their subject matter is still a current reality, and we must take care of that. For example, often we hear someone being called "O 'Abd al-Nabi." The phrase 'Abd al-Nabi is common. If the Messenger (peace be upon him) forbade in this hadith, and in the one after it as well, a master saying "O my slave" to his slave, and he explained this by saying:
All of you are slaves of Allah فكلُّكم عبيد الله
then what is the matter with Muslims today who attribute their servitude to other than Allah, even to the Prophet, saying 'Abd al-Nabi? This is not permissible in Islam. There is much like this, and much among the Shi'ah. They have 'Abd al-Husayn, they have 'Abd 'Ali, and they have a great deal, and a very great deal, of servitude to other than Allah. Perhaps the name 'Abd al-Nabi spread to the Muslims of the people of the Sunnah from the influence of the etiquettes of the Shi'ah. So, we take from this hadith what we use to address an error that exists and continues to this day, which is the servitude to the Prophet, where one says 'Abd al-Nabi, and some also say 'Abd al-Rasul. I heard this in Jordan. This is absolutely not permissible. We are all slaves of Allah. Why do we attribute our servitude to a slave among the slaves of Allah, who is a slave to Allah (Mighty and Majestic) just like us?
