What is the correct understanding of the statement: “I am the Prophet, I do not lie, I am the son of 'Abd al-Muttalib,” in light of the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) prohibition against making anyone other than Allah a slave?

The questioner : What is the correct understanding of the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) statement:
I am the Prophet without lie, I am the son of 'Abdul-Muttalib. أنا النبي لا كذب، أنا ابن عبد المطلب
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1688Sahih (Darussalam)
in light of the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) prohibition against making anyone other than Allah (Mighty and Majestic) a slave?

The Shaykh : There is no contradiction in this authentic statement of the Messenger (peace be upon him) between it and his prohibition, or the prohibition derived from his command, against making anyone other than Allah (Mighty and Majestic) a slave. This is because he is tracing his lineage to his grandfather 'Abd al-Muttalib, as this is his proper name by which he is known among people. He did not create a name in which he made a person a slave to anyone other than Allah (Mighty and Majestic); rather, he identified himself to people as the son of 'Abd al-Muttalib. He could not identify his lineage to 'Abd al-Muttalib by changing his name.
I am giving you an example: Many of the Shi'ah—as you know—are named 'Abd al-Husayn, 'Abd al-Hasan, and the like. We say: "So-and-so, 'Abd al-Husayn, said in his book *Al-Muraja'at* such and such." We are the ones who establish in our books that it is not permissible to make anyone other than Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) a slave. Therefore, it does not occur to the mind of one who reads my statement, "So-and-so, 'Abd al-Husayn, said in such a book," that I have made a person a slave to anyone other than Allah (Mighty and Majestic). This is because, as the scholars say: one who transmits disbelief or imitates disbelief is not a disbeliever. Thus, this hadith:
I am the Prophet without lie, I am the son of 'Abdul-Muttalib. أنا النبي لا كذب، أنا ابن عبد المطلب
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1688Sahih (Darussalam)
does not contradict at all what is known of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he forbids making anyone other than Allah (Mighty and Majestic) a slave. He is a transmitter, not an originator. Yes.
