Continuation of the explanation of the hadith of Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman (may Allah be pleased with him): (… the tale-bearer will not enter Paradise).

The Shaykh : Finally, there remains in the hadith an important point, and I do not think it is sufficient merely to point to it, given how much we have passed through commentary on similar matters.
The beater of false tales would never enter heaven.
Sahih Muslim 105b
This is what the hadith says:
The beater of false tales would never enter heaven.
Sahih Muslim 105b
, but it is obligatory that we do not understand the hadith by its wording alone, but rather together with all the texts from the Book and the Sunnah that help us understand the hadith correctly. If we understood the hadith on its apparent meaning:
The beater of false tales would never enter heaven.
Sahih Muslim 105b
; meaning that Paradise is forbidden to him like it is for a disbeliever, then this understanding would conflict with texts from the Book and the Sunnah, the most famous and strongest of which in indication is the saying of Allah (Mighty and Majestic):
Indeed, Allah does not forgive association with Him, but He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills
[An-Nisa 4:48]
So how can it be said:
The beater of false tales would never enter heaven.
Sahih Muslim 105b
And our Lord says:
And He forgives what is less than that for whom He wills.
In this verse and many other texts, as I referred to, the scholars interpreted such a text with several interpretations: First, the tale-bearer will not enter Paradise; meaning: he will not enter Paradise at all. The one who considers talebearing permissible, he considers it permissible in his heart; because considering a sin permissible in the heart is disbelief and apostasy, and at that time the hadith is understood on its apparent meaning: he will not enter Paradise at all because he considered this sin permissible with a heart-based permissibility, so he became a disbeliever… This is the first meaning. The second meaning: he will not enter Paradise with the foremost of the first ones, meaning he will not enter Paradise without reckoning and without punishment, meaning it is understood at that time that he enters Paradise, but after a period of time. And finally: the third aspect is that he will not enter Paradise except after he takes his share of punishment for his sin, whether it was talebearing, or zina, or being a cuckold, or anything about which such a text came:
The cuckold will not enter Paradise
It came in some hadiths, so whoever about whom such a statement was made, this is the last aspect.
