Explanation of the chapter: "The chapter on taking eggs from the female bird."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : A new chapter follows, which falls under "The chapter on showing mercy to animals."
However, there is a distinction within the chapter itself and in the hadith beneath it, where...
It says, "The chapter on taking eggs from the female bird."
The female bird is a type of small bird. Is it permissible to take the eggs? If we look at the previous chapter, "The chapter on showing mercy to animals," and consider what happens if one takes the eggs from a bird's nest, what will befall that bird when it returns and finds no eggs? There is no doubt that the situation will distress it, just as the condition of an animal is exactly like that of a human being. Therefore, out of consideration for the mercy due to the animal, one should not take the eggs from its nest or the chicks from its nest, because doing so will harm their parents.
