The Intended Meaning of the White Days

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
A message was received by the program from Jeddah, sent by one of the sisters. She says: From your sister in Allah (M. M. Mayda). Our sister asks: What are the white days? May Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
The white days are: the thirteenth, the fourteenth, and the fifteenth. These are the white days, meaning the ones whose night is white by the moon and whose day is white by the sun and daylight. Fasting them is recommended. If one fasts on other days, there is nothing wrong with it. The Sunnah is that the Muslim man should fast three days of every month, and likewise the Muslim woman. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) advised fasting three days of every month. He advised a group of the Companions. If one fasts them in the first ten days, or in the middle ten, or in the last ten, all of it is good. And if one fasts them on the white days, that is better. Yes.

The presenter: May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
