The Shaykh : Then he is now enumerating some of the hadiths reported regarding this, so the first hadith is authentic. Anas ibn Malik said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came upon some of his wives, and with them was Umm Sulaym, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 14:5.
Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 14:5: Anjashah: He was a singer among the Companions of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) who would sing to the camels. Singing to camels (al-hada) is the style of the Bedouins, meaning a natural song similar to the muwayali and the like, which a person improvises spontaneously without artifice or acquisition. So this singing is specific to singing to camels, and the camels have a strange habit: when they are afflicted with fatigue, weariness, and boredom from long travel, and their pace slows down because of that, if the singer sings to them.
