Have the signs of the Arabian Peninsula returning to meadows and rivers appeared, or the appearance of a mountain of gold in Iraq?

The questioner : O Shaykh, it is said: "The Hour will not come until the land of the Peninsula becomes meadows and rivers". This matter has occurred.

The Shaykh : You are seeing the signs now.

The questioner : Or a mountain of gold in Iraq.

The Shaykh : No, that has not appeared yet. As for the first hadith, it is in Sahih Muslim. I was granted the opportunity, for the first time, to travel to Riyadh by land more than thirty years ago, and I used to see greenery in this desert, including some vegetables like zucchini and cucumbers, and so on. I used to take this as a good omen, even though it was a small patch. But now, you see there are planted fields on the road to Tabuk, on the road to Riyadh, and so on. These are signs of the hadith mentioned earlier. So, glory be to Allah, He turns things as He wills.
