The questioner : Before the questions, there is an issue, O Shaykh.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : Some of the brothers come to the gathering while the honorable Shaykh is praying, so some of them sit outside, some of them pray the greeting of the mosque, and some of them sit. I do not know the ruling, O honorable Shaykh?

The Shaykh : Yes. If a person comes to the congregation, he enters with them; he enters with them, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) finished the Fajr prayer in the Musjid al-Khaif during the Year of the Farewell Pilgrimage. He found two men who had not prayed, so he asked them about it, and they said:
We prayed at our camp.' So he said: 'Do not do that; when you pray in your camp then you come to a Masjid with a congregation, then pray with them. That will be a voluntary prayer for you.'" صلينا في رحالنا، فقال: إذا صليتما في رحالكما ثم أتيتما مسجد جماعة فصليا معهم فإنها لكما نافلة
