Is it permissible for a menstruating woman to enter the mosque and sit without praying the greeting of the mosque?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Welcome, welcome. Please, come in, hurry, hurry.

The questioner : The menstruating woman, do you hear me?

The Shaykh : What is the matter with the menstruating woman?

The questioner : Did not the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) permit her to enter the mosque, except that she does not circumambulate the House?

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : Does she pray the greeting of the mosque, or does she sit in the mosque?

The Shaykh : She sits without praying. It is not permissible for her to pray. She sits in the mosque without praying.

The questioner : Without praying, but what is the evidence for this, O Shaykh?

The Shaykh : The evidence is the hadith you mentioned, which is in Sahih al-Bukhari:
Do what the pilgrim does, except that you do not circumambulate and do not pray. اصنعي ما يصنعه الحاج غير ألا تطوفي ولا تصلي
So what does the pilgrim do? She enters the mosque, prays, circumambulates, recites, and sits. All of this is what the Messenger permitted for her, but he excluded prayer and circumambulation of the House from the permission.

The questioner : So, in this noble Prophetic hadith, it is not permissible for her to pray?

The Shaykh : Yes, and there are other hadiths stating that the woman does not pray and does not fast, but she makes up the fast and does not make up the prayer.

The questioner : A second question...

The Shaykh : Your voice has gone. Make the phone one.
