A word from the Shaykh explaining the main cause that led to the weakness of the Muslims, with a discussion and dialogue about explaining the way out of it. (And an explanation of the hadith:

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh: So when we truly return to being believers
And that day the believers will rejoice (5) In the victory of Allah
[Ar-Rum 30:4-5]
And Allah helps whom He wills.
Now we must mention some of the problems that the Islamic world as a whole, and we are part of it, falls into. With one or two hadiths, let us see if this hadith applies to us or not. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
If you trade with 'inah and take the tails of cows and are content with crops and abandon jihad in the cause of Allah, Allah will impose upon you a humiliation that He will not remove from you until you return to your religion.
I think you have all read and heard this hadith to the end.

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh: What do you think? Does not this hadith apply to us in all its parts? If you trade with 'inah, which is a type of riba, and today riba is widespread from the state to the people, correct?

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh: Okay
When you enter into the inah transaction, hold the tails of oxen
Sunan Abi Dawud 3462
meaning you are occupied with worldly matters, planting and livestock, and so on, to the end
hold the tails of oxen, are pleased with agriculture, and give up conducting jihad (struggle in the way of Allah)
Sunan Abi Dawud 3462
When did we leave off jihad in the path of Allah? Today? A long time ago, is that not so?

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh: Okay
Narrated AbuUmamah: A man said: Messenger of Allah, allow tourism for me. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: The tourism of my people is striving in the path of Allah, the Exalted.
Sunan Abi Dawud 2486
If it is conditional in the Arabic language, if you do such and such and such and such, what is the answer?
Allah will make disgrace prevail over you
Sunan Abi Dawud 3462
meaning the Jews
That He will not remove from you until you return to your religion.
Therefore, may Allah reward you, slowly, slowly, do not seek to fight the Jews.
"And strive against the self and Satan, and disobey them both, and if they offer you sincere advice, then doubt them."
We must now doubt ourselves. We believe that Allah did not allow the Jews, who are the most humble of nations by the explicit text of the Noble Qur'an, to dominate us, unless we have become under the most humble of nations. Do you see that our Lord wronged us?
And We did not wrong them [thereby], but they were wronging themselves.
[An-Nahl 16:118]
And therefore, if the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) says in clear, eloquent Arabic: If you do such and such and such and such Allah will make disgrace prevail over you, and will not withdraw it until you return to your original religion.Sunan Abi Dawud 3462 We want to lift this humiliation that has settled among us and befallen us. What is the cure? It is mentioned in the hadith. The prescription is clear and evident. But we are like a patient who stands before a great doctor, as they say, and he presents him with a clear prescription. He takes it and puts it on the shelf instead of treating himself, working, and applying this prescription. And he increases in illness upon illness until destruction comes to him, and he has a prescription. And so are we today. The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), with the guidance and the clear, illuminating Book that He brought us, has described the cure for us. That this humiliation, if it occurs, cannot be lifted except that you return to your religion. So the prescription is described, and it is up to us only to apply it. I say now, using the Syrian expression, "it requires shaking the shoulders." It requires work, enough work.

The questioner: What is it? You are saying, calm down a little.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner: You, who are building your viewpoint, take it easy, another 600, 700 years.

The questioner : Hehehe.

The questioner: We are telling you, let us shake our shoulders. You say no.

The Shaykh: I am telling you, like this, hehehe.

The questioner: You are the one who says, leave it to the consequences.

The Shaykh: It is a big problem. I am saying it requires shaking the shoulders.

The questioner: Shaking your shoulders is not shaking my shoulders.

The Shaykh: Hehehe, it requires work with the Book and the Sunnah.
