The Shaykh’s explanation of some of the problems facing the Muslim community, including sins and other matters.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh: Now, we must mention some of the problems that the Islamic world falls into, and we are part of it. With one or two hadiths, we see whether this hadith applies to us or not. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
When you enter into the inah transaction, hold the tails of oxen, are pleased with agriculture, and give up conducting jihad (struggle in the way of Allah). Allah will make disgrace prevail over you, and will not withdraw it until you return to your original religion.
Sunan Abi Dawud 3462Sahih (Al-Albani)
I think you have certainly heard and read this hadith to its end.

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh: What do you think? Does this hadith not apply to us in all its clauses? If you trade with 'inah: which is a type of riba, and today riba is widespread from the state to the people, correct?

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh: Okay,
When you enter into the inah transaction, hold the tails of oxen
Sunan Abi Dawud 3462Sahih (Al-Albani)
meaning: you engaged in worldly affairs, in planting and grazing, and so on.
hold the tails of oxen, are pleased with agriculture, and give up conducting jihad (struggle in the way of Allah)
Sunan Abi Dawud 3462Sahih (Al-Albani)
When did we leave off jihad in the path of Allah? Today? A long time ago, is that not so?

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh:
Narrated AbuUmamah: A man said: Messenger of Allah, allow tourism for me. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: The tourism of my people is striving in the path of Allah, the Exalted.
Sunan Abi Dawud 2486Hasan (Al-Albani)
"If" is conditional in the Arabic language. If you do such and such and such, what is the answer?
Allah will make disgrace prevail over you
Sunan Abi Dawud 3462Sahih (Al-Albani)
They will be humbled,
That He will not remove from you until you return to your religion.
; therefore - may Allah bless you - take it easy, take it easy, do not seek to fight the Jews.
And strive against the self and Satan, and disobey them both *** And if they offer you sincere advice, then suspect it
We must now suspect ourselves. We believe that Allah did not make the Jews, who are the most humble of nations by the clear text of the Noble Qur'an, dominant over us. And if we have become under the most humble of nations, do you think our Lord wronged us?
And they wronged Us not - but they were [only] wronging themselves.
[Al-Baqarah 2:57]
; and therefore, if the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said in clear Arabic, if you do such and such and such
Allah will make disgrace prevail over you, and will not withdraw it until you return to your original religion.
Sunan Abi Dawud 3462Sahih (Al-Albani)
, we want to remove this humiliation that has settled upon us and befallen us, so what is the cure? It is mentioned in the hadith: it is simple, clear, and evident. But we are like a patient who stands before a great doctor, as they say, and he presents him with a clear prescription, and he takes it and puts it on the shelf instead of acting on it and applying it. And he increases in illness upon illness until destruction comes to him, while he has the prescription. And so are we today. The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), by what He brought us of guidance and the clear, illuminating Book, has described the cure for us. That this humiliation, if it occurs, cannot be removed except that you return to your religion. So the prescription is described, and it is up to us only to apply it. Applying it now, in the Syrian expression, requires shaking the shoulders, it requires effort that is not sufficient.

The questioner: Are you sitting there saying "calm down a bit"?

The Shaykh : Yes?

The questioner: You are the one adopting this viewpoint for six or seven hundred years. We tell you, let us shake our shoulders, and you say no.

The Shaykh: Am I saying that?

The questioner: Ah, you say leave it alone.

The Shaykh: It is a big problem like this. I say it requires shaking the shoulders, it requires action according to the Book and the Sunnah.
