The word: (intentionally) from the hadith: "Whoever lies about me intentionally, let him take his place in the Fire." How authentic is it?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner: There are questions about some hadiths, including the hadith:
He who lies about me deliberately will certainly come to his abode in Hell.
Sunan Abi Dawud 3651Sahih (Al-Albani)
?

The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner: Is this word
intentionally متعمِّدًا
included in the text? Some say it is not included, meaning... the general wording? And also, Shaykh, some of them weaken the hadith of Asma', saying it is weak?

The Shaykh: Yes.

The questioner: Yes.

The Shaykh: As for the hadith:
He who lies about me deliberately
Sunan Abi Dawud 3651Sahih (Al-Albani)
with the wording, with the addition of the word:
intentionally متعمِّد
; it is an authentic narration. I had clarified its authenticity and refuted the one who denied it due to his deep ignorance, who is known as Abu Rayyah, who has a book attacking Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him). He claimed there that the hadith scholars narrated this hadith with the addition of
intentionally متعمِّدًا
, and this addition is not authentic. The man is one of the most ignorant people in the science of hadith and the routes of hadith. I refuted him from two aspects: the first aspect is that this addition is established in many routes of the hadith, and this hadith is one of the most famous mass-transmitted reports. This word appeared in many of the routes. The Hafidh Imam al-Tabarani has a special treatise preserved with us in Damascus in the Zahiriyyah Library, a manuscript titled: "The Routes of the Hadith:
He who lies about me deliberately
Sunan Abi Dawud 3651Sahih (Al-Albani)
"; so this addition is authentic in narration. Then, the other narrations in which this addition did not appear are, in terms of meaning, the same as the meaning of this addition. I explained all of this there. And the explanation of this now: the hadith is:
Whoever tells a lie against me (intentionally) then (surely) let him occupy, his seat in Hellfire.
Sahih al-Bukhari 107
, without the word, what?
intentionally متعمِّدًا
. Do you think the Messenger (may the prayers and peace of Allah be upon him), when he said:
Whoever tells a lie against me (intentionally) then (surely) let him occupy
Sahih al-Bukhari 107
, meant unintentionally? Is it possible that the Wise Lawgiver intends to hold the forgetful or the one who makes a mistake accountable in the same way as the intentional one? This does not exist in Islam. And in the Qur'an,
Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred.
[Al-Baqarah 2:286]
. So if a man narrates a saying, then forgets and makes a mistake, and says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, this man, in reality, has lied about the Messenger (peace be upon him), but from a legal standpoint, it is said to him:
then (surely) let him occupy, his seat in Hellfire.
Sahih al-Bukhari 107
? The answer is: No, rather the Fire will not touch him with a nail or with punishment. Why? Accountability is lifted from him, as he (peace and blessings be upon him) said in the authentic hadith:
The pen has been lifted for, or the pen has been set aside for, the three: the sleeper until he wakes up, the child until he reaches puberty, and
What is the third one?

The questioner: The insane person.

The Shaykh : Yes?

The questioner: The insane person.

Another questioner :
Allah has forgiven my nation for mistakes and forgetfulness
Sunan Ibn Majah 2045Sahih (Darussalam)
.

The Shaykh: No, no, that is not it, my brother.

The questioner: The insane person.

The Shaykh:
the insane person until he regains consciousness
Sunan al-Bayhaqi 18:992
, yes. So we observe that accountability only occurs with the presence of intent from the person. If he did not intend it, nothing came from him by intent; so there is no accountability on him. Therefore, this is from the ease of the Shari'ah. The known verse came down when the Companions said:
Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred.
[Al-Baqarah 2:286]
, so the response came from the sky from the Lord of the Worlds (Glorified and Exalted is He), saying: Yes - on the tongue of Jibril -
Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred.
[Al-Baqarah 2:286]
. So the meaning of the hadith:
Whoever tells a lie against me (intentionally) then (surely) let him occupy
Sahih al-Bukhari 107
is: intentionally, deliberately, not by mistake; because the one who makes a mistake, no matter what he does, has no sin on him. When one of the Companions killed that disbeliever when he was under the strike of the Muslim's sword, and he said: "There is no god but Allah," it overcame his suspicion that he said this out of fear of being killed, so he killed him. The Messenger (peace be upon him) did not hold him accountable in the known way; such that he would obligate him to pay blood money. Rather, he said, teaching him:
Why did you not split his heart?
Mishkat al-Masabih 3450, 3451
. He (peace be upon him) taught him, but he did not hold him accountable in the way that occurs when a Muslim kills a Muslim intentionally and deliberately. So the statement of this person that this addition is not established, this is first due to his ignorance of the routes of the hadith, and rather due to his negligence of the meaning of the hadith without this addition. The meaning of this addition is present in the hadith, whether it is established or not. Whoever lies about me intentionally, definitely, as for whoever lies about me by mistake, unintentionally; there is no accountability on him ever.
