The questioner : What is the method for the 'Umrah of a menstruating woman? Is it required that she enter the state of ihram from al-Tan'im? And who among the early scholars said this?

The Shaykh : The 'Umrah of a menstruating woman relates to the pilgrim who intended to combine 'Umrah with Hajj (tamattu'), but when she came from Makkah, menstruation began, preventing her from circumambulating the House just as it prevents her from praying. Therefore, her tamattu' becomes an independent Hajj (ifrad). When this pilgrim completes the rituals of Hajj, namely the Tawaf of Ifadah and then the Tawaf of Farewell, she is ordered to go out to al-Tan'im and enter the state of ihram from there, then enter Makkah, perform Tawaf and Sa'y, and complete the 'Umrah. This is what is established in the hadith of 'A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her). The command here is as Imam al-Shafi'i said: "The hadith is a proof in itself and does not need support by knowing who said it." Personally, I do not recall now who said this regarding this issue; the hadith of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) is sufficient for us.
Yes.
