Explanation of the mawquf hadith: The athar of Hudhayfah, who said: “Never have a people exchanged curses without the curse becoming deserved upon them.”

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Therefore, the author (may Allah have mercy on him) followed the two preceding hadiths with the following athar; that is, with the mawquf hadith that he also narrated with his authentic chain from Hudhayfah, who said: “Never have a people exchanged curses without the curse becoming deserved upon them.”
“Never have a people exchanged curses” means that they cursed one another without right, and thus they became deserving of the curse of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He). This confirms that what the sincere believers and the martyrs are free from is cursing without right.
