The hadith of 'Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: (Hand me the khamrah).

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : All right, Shaykh, the hadith of 'Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her:
Hand me the khamrah ناوليني الخُمْرة
. She said: I am menstruating. He said:
Your menstruation is not in your hand. ليست حيضتك في يدك
Sunan Ibn Majah 632Sahih (Darussalam)
; does this also indicate that a woman does not enter the mosque entirely, or with her foot?

The Shaykh : Before this question, is the evidence based on her statement or his statement?

The questioner : Based on his statement (peace and blessings be upon him).

The Shaykh : All right; the Messenger's statement is the opposite of that.

The questioner :
Your menstruation is not in your hand. حيضتك ليست في يدك
Sunan Abi Dawud 261Sahih (Al-Albani)
; meaning she extends only her hand, not her body.

The Shaykh : She extends only her hand? How does she extend her hand?

The questioner : He said:
Hand me the khamrah ناوليني الخُمْرة
.

The Shaykh : Do not repeat the hadith, the hadith is well known; but explain your understanding to me; how does she extend only her hand?

The questioner : She gives him this khamrah with her hand without the rest of her body?

The Shaykh : How do you mean?

The questioner : She hands it to him only.

The Shaykh : I understand, I understand, how?

The questioner : Meaning like this, Shaykh, she gives it to him.

The Shaykh : My brother, it is clear; where is it?

The questioner : Inside the house.

The Shaykh : It is inside the house, does she walk or not?

The questioner : She walks, Shaykh.

The Shaykh : To where? To the mosque?

The questioner : To the mosque, but this mosque is attached to the same room, so she extends her hand to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) into the mosque.

The Shaykh : You are imagining something!! Is this imagination a reality? We have read your imagination.
-- Another questioner : ... after Maghrib, if Allah wills. The Shaykh : If Allah wills --

The questioner : But - Shaykh - she cannot hand him the khamrah while she is inside the house?

The Shaykh : What do you want from us? First, if one is not convinced by this contrivance, we will say: his statement (peace be upon him):
Your menstruation is not in your hand. إنَّ حيضَتَك ليست في يدك
Sunan Abi Dawud 261Sahih (Al-Albani)
, all right; is her menstruation in her foot?

The questioner : No, O Shaykh.

The Shaykh : All right; so what is the difference between extending her hand to the mosque or her foot?

The questioner : There is no difference here.

The Shaykh : No difference, what is the difference between extending her hand and her foot to the mosque?

The questioner : There is no difference.

The Shaykh : No difference. What is the difference between entering the mosque with her body; for her menstruation is not in her entire body; because this foot and this hand do not have that impure blood? So he (peace be upon him) means by this hadith that the impurity present in the menstruating woman is not a physical impurity, but rather a conceptual impurity; like the one who has a state of ritual impurity, like the one whose ablution is broken; so legally he does not pray, but if he enters the mosque and picks up something or the like; then there is nothing wrong with this, so his statement (peace be upon him) to Lady 'Aishah:
Indeed, your menstruation is not in your hand إنَّ حيضك ليست في يدك
does not mean this contrivance that some scholars say in order to reconcile the hadith with what is in their minds.
The Shaykh: -- What is it, Abu Mu'adh?

Another questioner : Please, our Shaykh. The Shaykh: Here? The questioner: Yes.The Shaykh: Go ahead.Another questioner : Please, in the guest room. --

The questioner : Our Shaykh, what prevents you from completing the book "Fiqh al-Sunnah" (Jurisprudence of the Sunnah), Shaykh?

The Shaykh : ... .

The questioner : "Fiqh al-Sunnah, Tamam al-Mannah" (Jurisprudence of the Sunnah, The Completion of the Grace) ... .

The Shaykh : Time, time.

The questioner : Do you have a manuscript or?

The Shaykh : Oh?

The questioner : Do you have a manuscript or meaning ...?

The Shaykh : I did not complete it.

The questioner : Meaning if you had completed it - Shaykh - it would have been a complete book, if Allah wills?

The Shaykh : Correct, but not everything a person wishes for does he attain!
...

The questioner : The manuscript you have in your handwriting, Shaykh, "al-Da'ifah" (The Weak) and "al-Sahihah" (The Authentic), we heard that it is thirteen or twelve volumes, but only four or five of "al-Sahihah" and "al-Da'ifah" have been published; meaning you completed it, Shaykh?

The Shaykh : Printing is not in our hands, we have the authorship in our hands!

The questioner : ... and the forty thousand hadiths of the lost paper, Shaykh? But they - Shaykh - are you publishing them for the people?

The Shaykh: What is it?

The questioner : The forty thousand hadiths, or fifty thousand hadiths of the lost paper, I heard your tape of the lost paper.

The Shaykh : Yes, what is in ... this?

The questioner : You mentioned the story of the lost paper and extracted from your research at the Zahiriyah a benefit of forty thousand hadiths which you traced.

The Shaykh : I do not think I named this number, but they are with me in my handwriting, yes, but they are not the authenticated ones.

The questioner : They are not authenticated?

The Shaykh : A collection, meaning a collection of manuscripts.

The questioner : What Allah willed! Meaning it is considered a reference only for you?

The Shaykh : It is this.
