A student of the Shaykh’s advice to his brothers to make du'a for one another, to defend one another, and to clarify matters with a brother if they hear something that disparages him

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The student : And I hope that our brothers, in conclusion, that our meeting in absence be like our meeting in presence. Meeting in absence is achieved by two or three things. The first is du'a. The second, O brothers, is that each of us defends his brother. By Allah, the Muslims did not triumph in the past, and they will not triumph unless each of them is a shield that protects his brothers in absence and in presence. And thirdly, I hope that we are always, forever, if one of our brothers here or in another country hears about his brother something that disparages him, or they disparage him with it, or they criticize him openly or secretly, or they do not hold it in their hearts so that Satan does not nurture this matter day after day and hour after hour, but rather they contact the brother who was disparaged, whether he is in his place or elsewhere, to clarify the matter from him, in fulfillment of His saying—Blessed and Exalted is He—
if there comes to you a disobedient one with information, investigate إِنْ جَاءَكُمْ فَاسِقٌ بِنَبَإٍ فَتَبَيَّنُوا
[Al-Hujurat 49:6]
This is from the perfection of faith, the grandeur of Islam, and the completion of taqwa. This is a covenant between us and you, if Allah wills. We have not practiced or tested ourselves except in this, and praise be to Allah, by whose blessings good deeds are completed.
In conclusion, O brothers, we say to you: welcome, whether you stay or depart. May Allah forgive us and you, and may He reward you with the best reward for what you have done and what you have presented to Him. May Allah reward you with the best of rewards. I ask Allah to gather us upon good in this world and to make us among those about whom Allah—Blessed and Exalted is He—said:
Upon couches facing one another عَلَى سُرُرٍ مُتَقَابِلِينَ
They do not dispute in it, nor is there in it any distraction, nor anything of the concerns of this world and its conditions that divert from seeking more and steadfastness upon the pleasure of the Hereafter. Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire. O Allah, grant us from Your fear that which prevents us from Your disobedience, from Your obedience that which brings us to Your Paradise, and from certainty that which makes the trials of this world easy for us. O Allah, let us enjoy our hearing, our sight, and our strength as long as You keep us alive, and make it the inheritance from us. O Allah, make our revenge upon those who wronged us, and help us against those who opposed us. Do not make this world the greatest of our concerns or the limit of our knowledge, and do not give power over us to one who does not have mercy on us. Glory be to You, O Allah, and praise be to You. I testify that there is no god but You. I seek Your forgiveness and I repent to You. May Allah send prayers and blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon his family.
Another student: May Allah reward you with good, O Shaykh.

The Shaykh : May Allah reward you.
