Is slaughtering the sacrificial animal and then throwing it in the slaughter area considered a valid portion?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Some people say: that slaughtering the sacrificial animal and throwing it in the slaughter area is not sufficient; is this correct?

The Shaykh : Throwing it in the slaughter area?

The questioner : The sacrificial animal, you slaughter it and put it in the slaughter area...?

The Shaykh : It is not... rather, the command is to eat from it and feed others, so the purpose is not merely shedding the blood; the purpose is that one eats and feeds others. And if one slaughters it and throws it like this in the pit, it falls under... the hadith of al-Mughirah, in the hadith of al-Mughirah ibn Shu'bah, he said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade idle talk, excessive questioning, and the squandering of wealth." Among the dangers of opposing these commands is that some Muslims took it upon themselves to deny this ritual in this context, and they issued rulings to end it and replace it with money, and this is contrary to the noble text:
Their meat will not reach Allah, nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is piety from you لَنْ يَنَالَ اللَّهَ لُحُومُهَا وَلَا دِمَاؤُهَا وَلَكِنْ يَنَالُهُ التَّقْوَى مِنْكُمْ
[Al-Hajj 22:37]
, so it is obligatory for us to apply the Shari'ah first in obedience to Allah and His Messenger, and second to block the path of those who try to distort the texts of the Shari'ah... meaning the poor application by some or many Muslims of the texts of the Shari'ah.

The questioner : ... .

The Shaykh: Yes.
