The continuity between tawaf and sa'y

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Is there a limited time for the interval between tawaf and sa'y?
There is no limited time for the interval between tawaf and sa'y, so continuity between them is not a condition. However, there is no doubt that it is better that when one performs tawaf, he performs sa'y. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) maintained continuity between his sa'y and his tawaf. But if he delays, performing tawaf at the beginning of the day and sa'y at the end of it, or after one or two days, there is no blame on him in this; because continuity between tawaf and sa'y is a recommended practice (sunnah) and not obligatory.

The questioner: Who said: If he delayed the tawaf of ifadah and performed sa'y after it for Hajj, that it does not suffice for him as the farewell tawaf,With a reason: that he delayed in order to perform sa'y, and sa'y may take hours, does this opinion have a basis?Answer: What I see is: that it has no basis; because sa'y is a follower of tawaf, and it is not a condition for tawaf being the last of his affairs that he does not perform an act of worship after it. It is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he performed the farewell tawaf, and prayed Fajr after the farewell tawaf, then he walked. Likewise, Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), when she performed 'Umrah on the night of departure, came with an 'Umrah consisting of tawaf, sa'y, and shortening the hair. Al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) mentioned in his Sahih a heading on the hadith of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), that the one performing 'Umrah is sufficed by his tawaf for the farewell tawaf, even though sa'y will intervene between him and the tawaf.

The questioner: This person who left sa'y, is he required to do anything other than making it up, and he is married? The Shaykh: He is not required to do anything other than making it up, but he has to avoid his wife until he performs sa'y.
