Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: “Have We not made the earth a bed?”

Exegesis of His saying, the Exalted: “Have We not made the earth a bed?”
Then Allah the Exalted explained His blessings upon His servants to make them acknowledge these blessings, thereby obligating them to be grateful for them.So he said: [An-Naba: 6-9] to the end of it.
Allah the Exalted made the earth a bed, prepared for creation. It is not so hard that they cannot plow it or walk upon it except with difficulty, nor is it so soft and yielding that they cannot benefit from it. Rather, it is prepared for them according to their interests and according to what they benefit from. As for the mountains, Allah the Exalted made them pegs, like the peg of a tent, which secures it so that it remains firm.And it is also firm, as Allah the Exalted said: [Fussilat: 10].

And these pegs, the scholars of the earth said: These mountains have roots firmly established in the earth, just as the root of a peg is established in a wall. Therefore, you find them solid and strong, not shaken by the winds.And this is part of the perfection of His power and His blessing: [An-Naba: 8] meaning: pairs, some male and some female, some young and some old, some black and some white, some wretched and some happy, and so on, in which people differ. Thus, they are pairs differing according to what Allah Mighty and Majestic willed and what wisdom required, so that people may take heed of the power of Allah the Exalted, and that He is able to make these humans, who were created from a single substance, into various and diverse kinds.
