Its meaning is: It is obligatory for a person to appoint an imam for himself, and it is not permissible for anyone, ever, to remain without an imam; because if he remains without an imam, he remains without authority and without a ruler, and Allah (Mighty and Majestic)He says: [al-Nisa:59] .
