Q 1: . What is the chain of narration for this hadith?
Vol. 1: The hadith in this wording is a fabrication of the Shi'ah , and it is not reported from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah said in *Minhaj al-Sunnah*: "By Allah, the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) did not say it this way; rather, what is known is what Muslim narrated that Ibn 'Umar came to 'Abd Allah ibn Muta'ib when the events of al-Hurah occurred, and he said: 'Provide a cushion for Abu 'Abd al-Rahman .' He said: 'I did not come to you to sit; I came to tell you a hadith I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say:Sahih Muslim 1851a End of quote. See *Mukhtasar al-Minhaj*, page 30.
Q 2: What does the Shaykh say about those who deny the hadiths of
the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)?
A 2: The Sunnah is the second source of Islamic sacred law after the Qur'an; based on the saying of Allah the Exalted:[Al-Hashr 59:7] and His saying: [An-Nisa 4:80] , and the Muslims have reached scholarly consensus on the obligation of acting upon the Sunnah. As for the one who denies acting upon the Sunnah, he becomes a disbeliever; because he is denying Allah, His Messenger, and the scholarly consensus of the Muslims. And success is from Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and his Companions.

One who withdraws his band from obedience (to the Amir) will find no argument (in his defence) when he stands before Allah on the Day of Judgment, and one who dies without having bound himself by an oath of allegiance (to an Amir) will die the death of one belonging to the days of Jahillyya.
