As we know, imitating the disbelievers is forbidden; but now we hear the bell of the clock in the mosque, as we just heard, and some people say: that its sound resembles the sound of the bell used by the Christians. Should we denounce this practice?
The claim that it resembles the Christian bell is incorrect; because we inquired about it,And they said: and it is not so. This sound we hear is no different from the sound of an ordinary hand-cranked clock; however, in this wall clock, the sound is louder. Some people complain about this clock because its sound bothers them, not because of the Christian bell.
