Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon His servant, our Prophet Muhammad, and upon his family and all his Companions.
Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said in his book *Al-Iqtida'*: "And in *the two Sahihs* from Ibn Jurayj from Nafi' from Ibn 'Umar that he said".
The Shaykh : Do you want to return to the hadith?
The reader: Yes.
The Shaykh : Fine.
The reader: "He said: What is related to this hadith is the legislation of the adhan, the vision of 'Abdullah ibn Zayd and 'Umar, and 'Umar's command for it as well, and what is narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had heard the adhan on the night he was taken up in the Isra, and so on, this is not the place to mention it"
The Shaykh : Place
The reader: "This is not the place to mention it, and the answer to what may be difficult to understand from it.
And the purpose here is: that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when he disliked the horn of the Jews blown with the mouth, and the bell of the Christians struck with the hand".
The Shaykh : I wish he had mentioned this, I wish he had mentioned it and the answer to what is difficult to understand from it, yes.
The reader: "He attributed this to being from the matter of the Jews, and attributed this to being from the matter of the Christians, because mentioning the description after the ruling"
The Shaykh : After
The reader: "After the ruling indicates that it is the cause for it, and this necessitates his prohibition of".
The Shaykh : I have an addition: when he disliked the horn of the Jews blown with the mouth.
The reader: Yes, I have it.
The Shaykh : You have it?
The reader: Yes, go ahead.
The Shaykh : Read its response "When he disliked".
The reader: "And the purpose here is: that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when he disliked the horn of the Jews blown with the mouth, and the bell of the Christians struck with the hand, he attributed this to being from the matter of the Jews, and attributed this to being from the matter of the Christians, because mentioning the description after the ruling indicates that it is the cause for it, and this necessitates his prohibition of what is from the matter of the Jews and the Christians, this while it is said that the horn of the Jews is"
The Shaykh : Indeed
The reader: "It is said that its origin is taken from Moses (peace be upon him), and that it was struck with the horn".
The Shaykh : And that.
The reader: "And that it was struck with the horn in his time, and as for the bell of the Christians, it is an innovation, since most of the laws of the Christians were innovated by their rabbis and monks.
And this necessitates the dislike of this type of sounds absolutely, even in other than prayer, because it is from the matter of the Jews and the Christians, for the Christians strike with bells at multiple times other than their times of worship. And the only symbol of the pure religion is: the adhan".
The Shaykh : The adhan?
The reader: I have it elongated like this.
The Shaykh : Do you know the adhan, this one.
The reader: But I elongated it, so I elongated it.
The Shaykh : The adhan is a mistake.
The reader: Yes "And the only symbol of the pure religion is: the adhan containing the announcement of the remembrance of Allah, by which the gates of the heavens are opened, so the devils flee, and mercy descends".
The Shaykh : Allahu Akbar, meaning these great meanings, if the mu'adhdhins were to feel them, and also we the listeners, much good would result from it, that it opens the gates of the heavens for this remembrance, and that the devils flee from this remembrance, and that mercy descends with this remembrance, if we were aware of this, we would have a taste of the adhan different from what we taste today, and that it is merely an announcement, and thus, from not being aware of this, some people make the adhan via a recording, as it is just a sound that is heard, and this is a great deficiency, Allahu Akbar, and the adhan, Subhan Allah, it is something amazing, when a person reflects on it, he finds in it amazing things, glorification of Allah, testimony of the oneness of Allah, testimony of the message, supplication for prayer, supplication for success, indication that establishing prayer is from success, and so on of things that the more a person reflects on them, the more the wisdom of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) becomes clear to him, yes.

The reader: "He said:
When the Muslims arrived in al-Madinah, they would gather and wait for the prayer, and no one would call for it, so they discussed it one day, and some of them said: Take a bell like the bell of the Christians, and some said: A horn like the horn of the Jews, so 'Umar said: Why do you not send a man to call for the prayer? So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Bilal, rise and call for the prayer
