The Ruling on Turning One’s Head During the Two Calls to Prayer

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Honorable Shaykh! What is the ruling on turning one’s head during the two calls to prayer?
Turning one’s head during the two calls to prayer is a recommended practice (sunnah). However, now that people use loudspeakers for the call to prayer, turning one’s head may cause the voice to be muffled; because if he turns, he is no longer facing the microphone, and at that point the voice becomes unclear. Therefore, what we see in this situation is that he should remain facing the microphone without turning his head. As for placing the hands in the ears, yes, that remains; because placing the fingers in the ears leads to a stronger voice.
