Meaning of the Hadith: (The angels do not enter a house in which there is an image)
The hadith in which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (The angels do not enter a house in which there is an image). If the image is in a room, must it be removed from the entire house, or just from that room?
The image referred to here is the forbidden image. As for the worn-out image on the bed or the like, this does not prevent the angels from entering. If the image is forbidden, it appears—may Allah know best—that if it is in a room, that does not extend to the entire house, especially if the people of the house dislike it. This is because in some families, one of them may be captivated by the devils and start collecting images, placing them with him or hanging them on the wall, while the people of the house dislike it but are unable to prevent it. In this case, the angels are not prevented from entering the house of the people who dislike it. As for the room containing the images, the angels do not enter a house in which there is an image.
