The questioner : May Allah reward you, O Shaykh. The hadith narrated from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) says:

The questioner : The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

The Shaykh : Do not recite it, (peace and blessings be upon him), do not recite it.

The questioner : The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner :
Angels do not enter a house in which there is a picture. لا تدخل الملائكة بيتا فيه صورة
Sahih Muslim 2106e
.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : So, if the image is in a room, does it necessarily have to be removed from the entire house, or just from the room?

The Shaykh : Yes, the image referred to here is the forbidden image. As for a worn-out image, such as one on a mattress or the like, it does not prevent the angels from entering. And if the image is forbidden, it appears, and Allah knows best, that if it is in a room, that does not extend to the entire house, especially if the people of the house dislike it. For in some families, one of them may be captivated by the devils and start collecting images, placing them with him and hanging them on the wall, while the people of the house dislike it but cannot prevent it. In this case, we say: the angels are not prevented from entering the house of the people who dislike it. As for the room containing the images, the angels do not enter a house in which there is an image. Yes.
