Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (So he did not scale the steep path)

Allah the Exalted said:

So he did not scale

فَلا اقْتَحَمَ

[Al-Balad: 11] meaning: the person who used to say:

I have spent wealth in abundance."

أَهْلَكْتُ مَالاً لُبَداً

[Al-Balad: 6]

But he has not broken through the difficult pass.

فَلا اقْتَحَمَ الْعَقَبَةَ

[Al-Balad: 11] meaning: why did he not scale the steep path,And scaling: it is crossing with difficulty; crossing something with difficulty is called scaling it,And the steep path: it is the path in the rugged mountain, and there is no doubt that scaling this steep path is difficult and arduous for souls; no one crosses it or accomplishes it except one who has a sincere intention to cross this steep path.
