Advice for the Mujahideen

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Your Eminence! What is your advice for your brothers the mujahideen in general, and for your brothers the mujahideen from Oromia in Abyssinia in particular, given that their leader is present in this blessed gathering? May Allah reward you with good.
My advice to the mujahideen is to be sincere in their intention for Allah (Mighty and Majestic), so that they fight so that the word of Allah is the supreme one. For the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about a man who fights with bravery, fights out of tribal loyalty, and fights to be seen in a prominent position: which of these is in the path of Allah? He said: (Whoever fights so that the word of Allah is the supreme one, he is in the path of Allah).

Second: They should not fight until they are prepared, and they should have equipment that matches or approximates the equipment of the enemy.because of the saying of Allah the Exalted:
And prepare against them whatever you are able of powerوَأَعِدُّوا لَهُمْ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ مِنْ قُوَّةٍ
[Al-Anfal: 60]. For this reason, Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) permitted the mujahideen to flee if the enemy is more than twice their number, even after they have lined up for battle, if the enemy is more than twice their number. Likewise, if the weapons are more than their weapons. As for going to fight an enemy with weapons that do not match or equal his weapons, without there being means by which we can protect ourselves, this is undoubtedly not prescribed.Because the obligation is preparation before setting out:
And prepare against them whatever you are able of powerوَأَعِدُّوا لَهُمْ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ مِنْ قُوَّةٍ
[Al-Anfal: 60].

Third: My advice to them is not to differ and not to dispute, for if they differ and dispute, they will fail.Allah, Blessed and Exalted, said:
until [the time] when you lost courage and fell to disputing about the order [given by the Prophet] and disobeyed after He had shown you that which you loveحَتَّى إِذَا فَشِلْتُمْ وَتَنَازَعْتُمْ فِي الْأَمْرِ وَعَصَيْتُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا أَرَاكُمْ مَا تُحِبُّونَ
[Al-Imran: 152] meaning: you saw what you disliked. So, dispute and difference are the cause of defeat and failure. If you are truly fighting in the path of Allah, do not make your own opinion the victor, and do not seek victory for yourself, but follow the truth wherever it is. For this reason, when some of the mujahideen had malice in their hearts, the mujahideen began to fight among themselves, killing one another with the weapons they had prepared to fight the enemy.

The fourth: They should appoint leaders and commanders so that their affairs are not in chaos. It is obligatory for the one who is commanded to obey his leader in other than disobedience to Allah. Just as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) used to appoint a leader over an army or a detachment when he sent them, who would direct them, command them, and prohibit them, so that their affairs would not be in chaos. As for every person following his own head and imposing his own opinion, this is a great error. There must be a leader who is agreed upon, or one who was a leader before him, or something similar to these means of appointing a leader.
