Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (So say: “Would you like to be purified?”)

Allah the Exalted said:
Then say: "Would you like to purify yourself?فَقُلْ هَلْ لَكَ إِلَى أَنْ تَزَكَّى
[Al-Nazi'at: 18] The interrogative here is for the purpose of urging, urging Pharaoh to purify himself from the evil and corruption he is upon,And the origin of zakah is: growth and increase,And it is used in the meaning of: Islam and the oneness of Allah,And from this is the saying of Allah the Exalted:
And woe to those who associate others with Allah - (7) Those who do not give zakah, and in the Hereafter they are disbelievers.وَوَيْلٌ لِلْمُشْرِكِينَ * الَّذِينَ لا يُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَاةَ وَهُمْ بِالْآخِرَةِ هُمْ كَافِرُونَ
[Fussilat: 6-7] And from this is the saying of Allah the Exalted:
He who purifies it has succeeded, * and he who defiles it has failedقَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَنْ زَكَّاهَا * وَقَدْ خَابَ مَنْ دَسَّاهَا
[Al-Shams: 9-10] Then Allah the Exalted said:
Would you like to purify yourself? * And I will guide you to your Lord so that you may fear Himهَلْ لَكَ إِلَى أَنْ تَزَكَّى * وَأَهْدِيَكَ إِلَى رَبِّكَ فَتَخْشَى
[Al-Nazi'at: 18-19] Meaning: Shall I guide you to the religion of Allah (Mighty and Majestic), which leads to Allah (so you fear)? Meaning: You fear Allah with knowledge on your part;Because khushu' is: fear accompanied by knowledge, for if there is no knowledge, it is mere fear, and this is the difference between khushu' (reverent fear) and fear.

The difference between them: that khushu' is based on knowledge,Allah the Exalted said:
Only those fear Allah, from among His servants, who have knowledge.إِنَّمَا يَخْشَى اللَّهَ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ الْعُلَمَاءُ
[Fatir: 28] As for fear, it is mere fear, a panic that befalls a person even without knowledge, for this reason a person may fear something he imagines; he may see a phantom in the dark night that has no reality and fear it, so this is panic based on illusion, but khushu' is based on knowledge.
