Benefits of Marrying Someone Who Is Not a Relative

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Your Eminence! In the book of marriage in the works of the Hanbalis (may Allah have mercy on them),They say: it is stated that the best in marriage is that the woman not be one of his relatives. Is there anything established from the Sunnah that supports this or contradicts it?

This is the view held by some scholars for two benefits: The first benefit is that it is more productive for the offspring, in the sense that it draws from the bloodline of his mother if she is from a tribe and the bloodline of his father if he is from a tribe, so the child combines the character traits of both these groups.

The second benefit: It is safer from severing ties, because a disagreement may arise between him and his wife that leads to the severing of kinship ties, not just between the husband and wife, but between all the relatives on both sides. But the generality of the saying of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him): (A woman is married for four reasons: for her wealth, for her lineage, for her beauty, and for her religion, so seize the one with religion, and your hands will be blessed) This includes both close and distant relatives. It is not hidden from us that 'Ali ibn Abi Talib married Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her), who was the daughter of his paternal cousin. Therefore, the correct view is that one should not pay attention to whether the relative is close or distant, but rather pay attention to what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) guided to: (so seize the one with religion, and your hands will be blessed).
