Exegesis of His saying, the Exalted: (So, the chargers in the morning)
Allah the Exalted said: [Al-Adiyat: 3] Meaning: So, those that charge in the morning against the enemy. This is the best time to charge against the enemy, which is in the morning; because they are in heedlessness and sleep. And even if they wake up from the raid, they will be in a state of sluggishness and exhaustion. So Allah the Exalted chose the best time for the raid, which is the morning, for the oath by these horses. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not raid a people at night, but he would wait. So when it became morning, if he heard the call to prayer, he would hold back; otherwise, he would raid.
