Explanation of the Book of Prayer-02

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"And from Rafi' ibn Khadij (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Offer Fajr prayer at dawn, for it is most productive of rewards to you أصبحوا بالصبح فإنه أعظم لأجوركم
Sunan Abi Dawud 424Hasan Sahih (Al-Albani)
It was narrated by the five [collections] and graded authentic by al-Tirmidhi and Ibn Hibban"
Pray the Fajr prayer at the time of the dawn أصبحوا بالصبح
This means do not pray until you are certain of the dawn, out of fear that a person might rush and pray while still in doubt about the rising of the dawn, because the rising of the dawn is a subtle matter, and as you know, it appears gradually. So a person might rush as soon as he sees a light that he thinks is the dawn and pray. So the meaning of
Pray the Fajr prayer أصبحوا
is: Be certain of what? Be certain of the dawn; do not pray while in doubt. It was also said that the meaning of
Pray the Fajr prayer at the time of the dawn أصبحوا بالصبح
is: Lengthen the recitation in the prayer until the dawn is clear and distinct and fully bright, due to his saying:
For it is greater for your rewards فإنه أعظم لأجوركم
Because if we interpreted it with the first meaning, then performing it before the dawn would have no reward at all, and the reason given would not be that it is greater for the reward. This meaning is very strong: that the meaning of
Pray the Fajr prayer in it أصبحوا بها
is what? Lengthen the prayer in it until the morning appears clearly, and it is the same meaning as the second hadith:
Pray the Fajr prayer at the time of the dawn أسفروا بالصبح
.
