Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (which peeps into the hearts)

Allah the Exalted said:
which peeps into the heartsالَّتِي تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى الْأَفْئِدَةِ
[Al-Humazah: 7] Al-af'idah: the plural of fu'ad, which is the heart,And the meaning is: that it reaches the hearts—may Allah protect us—from the intensity of its heat, even though the hearts are hidden in the chests, and between them and the outer skin there are layers, yet despite that, this fire reaches the af'idah.
Indeed, itإِنَّهَا
[Al-Humazah: 8] That is: al-Hatamah, which is the fire of Allah that is kindled:
upon them, sealedعَلَيْهِمْ مُؤْصَدَةٌ
[Al-Humazah: 8] upon the one who backbites and slanders, who hoards wealth and withholds good,And he did not say: (Indeed, it is upon him) even though the referent is singular:
(1) Woe to every scorner and mocker (2) Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it.وَيْلٌ لِكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُمَزَةٍ * الَّذِي جَمَعَ
[Al-Humazah: 1-2] but he repeated the pronoun in the plural form considering the meaning; because every humazah is a general term that encompasses all backbiters and all slanderers.
