Allah the Exalted said:

He says, "I have spent wealth in abundance."

يَقُولُ أَهْلَكْتُ مَالاً لُبَداً

[Surat al-Balad: 6]: The human being also says, in a state of wealth and when provision is expanded for him: “I have destroyed wealth in abundance,”Meaning: a great deal of wealth, which he has destroyed in his desires and pleasures.
