Advice for the Scouts Who Serve the Pilgrims

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Your Eminence! It is not hidden from your Eminence the works and services that the Scouts perform during Hajj. We ask you to kindly express your opinion on this matter based on what you have witnessed and what you hope their programs will be in the future?
In reality, the Scouts have a praiseworthy effort during the days of Hajj; because they organize traffic on one hand, guide the lost on the other, and help those who need help. And they themselves are also, according to what has reached us, upright; they perform the voluntary acts they are able to, and the acts of worship they are able to. And in it is also the bonding and getting to know one another among the members of the Ummah who came from various parts, and the much good that occurs in it.So my advice to them is: First: that they make their work sincere for Allah (Mighty and Majestic), such that they seek to draw near to Allah (Mighty and Majestic) through it.

Second: That they intend this accounting with Allah (Mighty and Majestic) through excellence; because Allah the Exalted rewards those who do good, and loves those who do good, and whoever does good to the servants of Allah, Allah does good to him; because it is established from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: (Allah is in the aid of the servant as long as the servant is in the aid of his brother),And he said: (Whoever is in the need of his brother, Allah is in his need).

Third: I also advise them: to lower their gaze and not cast it at looking at women who display their adornment; because—as you know—in the season of Hajj there are women who display their adornment based on their custom in their countries, so they lower their gaze, and they advise the guardians of these women if they are with them: that they oblige their women with the Shari'ah hijab, the most important of which is covering the face. And the Shari'ah hijab is not as some women do when they cover everything of themselves except their face and hands; this is deficient. For the evidence indicates the obligation of covering the face except from the mahrams and the husband.
And there is no doubt that if a person sees the works of these Scouts, he will be pleased with it.

So we advise them: That they do not delay when asked to participate in it, and that they observe sincerity for Allah the Exalted, gentleness with the servants of Allah, and doing good to them.
