Exegesis of the saying of Allah the Exalted: (Then indeed, upon Us is their Reckoning)

Allah the Exalted said:
(25) Indeed, to Us is their return. (26) Then indeed, upon Us is their account.
[Al-Ghashiyah: 25-26] We will reckon them,The scholars said: and the manner of the Reckoning is not a discussion in which a person is questioned; for if he were questioned, he would perish. If Allah Mighty and Majestic were to question you about the Reckoning, you would perish, or if He were to question you about one of the blessings, such as the blessing of sight, you would not be able to find anything you do that corresponds to the blessing of sight, or the blessing of the soul; the soul that goes out and in without any hardship or fatigue. So a person speaks, sleeps, eats, and drinks, yet he does not feel the soul and does not know the value of the soul unless he is afflicted with something that prevents breathing. At that time, he remembers the blessing of Allah; but as long as he is in good health, it is a natural thing to him. However, if he were afflicted with suffocation, he would know the value of the blessing. So if he were questioned, he would perish, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to A'ishah: (Whoever is questioned about the Reckoning will be tormented), but what is the manner of the Reckoning? As for the believer, Allah the Exalted will be alone with him, with no one else present, and will make him acknowledge his sins: you did such and such, you did such and such, you did such and such;Until when they acknowledged them, Allah the Exalted said: (I have concealed them from you in the worldly life, and I forgive them for you today).
As for the disbelievers, they are not reckoned in this manner; for they have no good deeds that erase their evil deeds, but their deeds are counted against them and they are made to acknowledge them before the worlds, and they are shamed by them. And they are called out upon the heads of the witnesses
These are the ones who lied against their Lord." Unquestionably, the curse of Allah is upon the wrongdoers.هَؤُلاءِ الَّذِينَ كَذَبُوا عَلَى رَبِّهِمْ أَلا لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ عَلَى الظَّالِمِينَ
[Hud: 18] We seek refuge in Allah from being forsaken.
And with this, the discussion of this great surah ends, and it is one of the two surahs that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite in the large gatherings,He used to recite in the prayer of the two festivals:
Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High,
[Al-A'la: 1]
Has there come to you the news of the Overwhelming?
[Al-Ghashiyah: 1] and also in the Friday prayer, and he sometimes recited in the two festivals
Qaf. By the honored Qur'an...
[Qaf: 1]
The Hour has come near, and the moon has split [in two].
[Al-Qamar: 1] and in the Friday prayer he recited the surahs of Al-Jumu'ah and Al-Munafiqun, varying between one and the other.
We ask Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, to make us and you among those whose faces are pleased with their effort, and to take care of us with His care in this world and the Hereafter, for He is capable of all things, and Allah the Exalted knows best.
