Allah the Exalted said: "As for he who is given his record in his right hand, he will be judged with an easy reckoning," and He said in another verse:

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward you. He says: Allah the Exalted said:
(7) Then as for he who is given his record in his right hand, (8) He will be judged with an easy account
[Al-Inshiqaq 84:7-8]
and He said in another verse:
Whoever does an evil deed will not be recompensed except by the like thereof; but whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a believer - those will enter Paradise, being given provision therein without account.
[Ghafir 40:40]
How do we reconcile between these two verses?

The Shaykh : Repeat, repeat the two verses.

The questioner : His saying, the Exalted:
(7) Then as for he who is given his record in his right hand, (8) He will be judged with an easy account
[Al-Inshiqaq 84:7-8]
and His saying, the Exalted:
Whoever does an evil deed will not be recompensed except by the like thereof; but whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a believer - those will enter Paradise, being given provision therein without account.
[Ghafir 40:40]
?

The Shaykh : Yes, what is the point of contradiction?

The questioner : The reckoning.

The Shaykh : Yes, the easy reckoning is not considered a reckoning because the person is not questioned in it; rather, his deeds are presented to him until he acknowledges them. Then Allah, Mighty and Majestic, says:
Indeed, I have concealed it from you in the worldly life, and I am forgiving it for you today
Sahih Ibn Hibban 64:265
Because Allah is alone with His believing servant, He places His covering over him and says: You did such and such, and you did such and such, and you did such and such, until he acknowledges it. Then Allah, the Exalted, says:
I have concealed it from you in the worldly life, and I am forgiving it for you today
Sahih Ibn Hibban 64:265
And how many are the sins concealed from the servants of Allah, but they are known to Allah. We ask Allah to forgive us and you. This is the reconciliation. As for the one whose reckoning is questioned, he is destroyed, as that came in the hadith of 'A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her).
