Exegesis of His saying, the Exalted: (Indeed, those who have committed crimes)

Allah the Exalted said:
Indeed, those who committed crimes used to laugh at those who believed.
[Al-Mutaffifin: 29] (Indeed, those who have committed crimes) means: they committed the crime, which is disobedience and transgression, (they were) meaning: in this world, among those who believed, laughing at them in mockery, derision, and belittlement.
And when they passed by them, they would exchange derisive glances.
[Al-Mutaffifin: 30] (And when they passed by them) Is the actor the one who committed the crimes? Or the one who believed? The verse is suitable for both,It is suitable to say: whether the believers passed by the criminals, or the criminals passed by the believers.

And the rule that should be understood in exegesis: If a verse is capable of two meanings that do not contradict each other, it must be interpreted as having both meanings; because that is more comprehensive,If we apply the verse to both matters, the meaning is: that the criminals, when they passed by the believers who were sitting, would wink at one another, and when the believers passed by the criminals who were sitting, they would also wink at one another, so it covers both situations: the situation of the criminals passing by the believers, and the situation of the believers passing by the criminals.
(winking at one another) means: some of them winking at others,They say: look at these people, in mockery, derision, and belittlement.

And Allah the Exalted said:
And when they returned to their people, they would return jesting.
[Al-Mutaffifin: 31] When the criminals returned to their people (they returned in high spirits) meaning: rejoicing over what they had gained from mocking these believers, so they mock, deride, and rejoice over this, thinking that they had succeeded and that they had overcome the believers, but the matter is the opposite.

Then Allah the Exalted said:
And when they saw them, they would say, "Indeed, those are truly lost."
[Al-Mutaffifin: 32] (And when they saw them) meaning: the criminals saw the believers
They said: Indeed, these are astray
[Al-Mutaffifin: 32] astray from the truth, backward, rigid, strict, and so on, among the titles.
And indeed, these predecessors of the Salaf have successors in our time today, and before it, and after it,So some people say about the people of good: that they are reactionaries, that they are backward,And they say about the one who is committed: that he is strict and rigid,And above all this, those who said to the messengers: that they are sorcerers or madmen,Allah the Exalted said:
Similarly, there came not to those before them any messenger except that they said, "A magician or a madman."
[Adh-Dhariyat: 52] The inheritors of the messengers, from the people of knowledge and religion, will receive from the enemies of the messengers what the messengers received: of bad titles, mockery, and the like, and from this is the titling of the people of innovation and denial of the people of affirmation from the Salaf as being Hashawiyyah, Mujassimah, Mushabbihah, and the like of bad titles by which they repel people from the straight path.

Then Allah the Exalted said:
But they had not been sent as guardians over them.
[Al-Mutaffifin: 33] meaning: that these criminals were not sent as guardians over these people to watch them and judge them, but the judgment belongs to Allah, Mighty and Majestic.
